In accordance with Law No. 2014-617 of June 13, 2014, regarding inactive bank accounts and unclaimed life insurance policies, known as the "Eckert Law," we are required to annually publish the number of inactive accounts held in our books, the total amount of deposits and assets registered on these accounts, as well as the number of accounts and the amount of assets transferred to the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.
Bank accounts are considered inactive under the Eckert Law if they have not been subject to any transaction (excluding interest posting and debits by the account-holding institution for fees and commissions of any kind) for a period of twelve months and if the account holder has not made any contact in any form during the same period.
Therefore, funds held in a bank account considered inactive under the Eckert Law for ten consecutive years must be transferred to the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.
Number of accounts | Amount of assets | |
---|---|---|
Inactive accounts and their corresponding balances held in our records | 195 | 0 |
